Job Description

As a Java Fullstack Software Engineer at Visa, you’ll join our talented team working on mission-critical applications within our Payment Digitization Platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop Java/Java EE applications while participating in the full software development lifecycle—from concept and design to testing and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions based on business requirements and use cases
• Develop proof of concepts and evaluate technologies for optimal solutions
• Create detailed design documentation and use case specifications
• Collaborate with internal teams to solve complex technical challenges
• Analyze current architecture and propose performance/quality enhancements
• Follow and contribute to best practices, standards, and procedures
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to peers and stakeholders
• Align solutions with Visa’s business vision and technology trends

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Hands-on experience with Java EE platforms and application development
• Understanding of object-oriented analysis/design and SOLID principles
• Experience with common design patterns
• Knowledge of test-driven development practices
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and documentation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in matrix environments and across diverse teams
• Global/international experience and cross-cultural collaboration
• Understanding of financial services or payments industry

Work Arrangement
